Jesus understood the value of a strategic withdrawal from the successes, challenges. and pressures of everyday life. He routinely took time to rest, listen to God, and recalibrate his heart.
Rock River is the perfect place for a strategic withdrawal. Whether a private or group retreat. leadership meeting, or a training day, our wooded 100 acre campus on the banks of the Boone River is the perfect setting for the renewal of minds and hearts.
Rock River Retreat exists to glorify God by helping His people, leaders and churches find fullness of life in Christ.
Rock River Retreat fulfills its mission by:
- Providing instruction and the setting for individual Christ followers to discover and nurture a fruitful, abiding relationship with Jesus Christ;
- Augmenting the mission and work of local churches through targeted investments in its leaders and people;
- Rescuing and restoring vocational shepherds who have lost their heart, or lost their way in the service of Christ.
Rock River has been developed as a retreat destination for people seeking a place to unplug from the noise and pressures of everyday life. Our Lodge offers a variety of settings to read, journal and pray as well as meeting space for group retreats up to 50 people.
The Lodge can house up to 14 overnight guests. Our newly renovated Guest House features 10 rooms, each with two double beds and its own private bath. The Guest House also features a cozy gathering room that can accommodate small groups for 20 people.
The natural beauty of our 100 acre campus with a four acre lake, Boone River frontage, trails in 75 acres of woods and an abundance of wild life makes Rock River a place where hearts are renewed.”
Guests have access to canoe rentals, fishing, and great golf with the Briggs Woods Course just over two miles from our campus.
