It’s District Conference Time!
From Superintendent Dr. Cal Swan:
The word transformation has multiple shades of meaning: to change, alter, metamorphose, convert, transfigure and to transmute. As a movement, it is our mission to “Glorify God by multiplying transformational churches among all people”. This occurs in basically two ways: The first is through experiencing the ongoing work of the gospel in our lives as individuals or as the people of a local church. God changes us, not just at the moment of conversion, but also as a process throughout our lives. Some moments of change are more noticeable than others, but the Lord who began a good work within us continues to accomplish His purposes of transformation. Second, each local church has the opportunity to make a transformational impact on the people and communities around them. Lives outside the church are changed in meaningful ways as believers interact with their neighbors and with others whom God places in one’s life. I encourage you to join us this March as we celebrate an important change in our district. This year I will be stepping away from the full-time role of District Superintendent. Mike Shields has been nominated to serve in that role beginning on March 10. God is indeed actively at work transitioning and transforming churches, districts and individual lives. I encourage you to join us as we celebrate what God has been doing and as we welcome our new Superintendent. I fully expect you will greatly enjoy these two days of warm fellowship, rich biblical teaching, a time for farewell and a time to embrace a new leader. God has blessed and is blessing the Central District!
